| Harbourton is a family foundation located in central New Jersey. Although it funds projects that embrace a national, and global worldview, most of its efforts to date have centered on communities in need throughout New Jersey. Its areas of interest are health and fitness, education, entrepreneurship, and the environment. The foundation pursues these interests with the intention of helping communities help themselves. | |
Longstanding and recent organizations Harbourton Foundation has supported: Isles- a community development organization in Trenton, New Jersey Woods Hole Research Center- a scientific institution that integrates science with policy development to understand and address the great challenges of the impact of human activities on the environment. Young Scholars Institute- a non-profit year-round learning center for the children (K-12) of Trenton, NJ. Springboard Innovation- an organization dedicated to inspiring and educating future social entrepreneurs based in Portland, Oregon Centurion Ministries- an organization dedicated to the vindication and freeing from prison those who are completely innocent of the crimes for which they have been unjustly convicted and imprisoned for life or death. Team Newark- a healthy lifestyle and fitness project initiated by Harbourton Foundation and supported by the city of Newark, New Jersey.
